As a former international student, I know first-hand what it is like to try and make sense of the licensing process for architects in light of visas, paperwork and protocol. This is why I wrote this piece.
Attending the A’17 conference was an incredible opportunity. I was fortunate to be chosen as one of the 2017 recipients of the Fellowship for Emerging Leaders by the College of Fellows Class of 2013, and received support by the AIA as a contributing journalist to its e-publications, the College of Fellows Newsletter and the YAF CONNECTION magazine.
This is my first piece for the College of Fellows Newsletter, and our intent was to feature the recently issued executive summary by the AIA Equity in Architecture Commission.
